MultiChoice hikes DStv, GOtv Bouquets in new price adjustments

Ms Joan Semanda Kizza, the Communications Manager for Multichoice Uganda said the cost of acquiring the broadcast rights for most of the channels has increased hence impacting the cost of delivering this content to customers.

KAMPALA, UGANDA: MultiChoice Uganda Limited has announced new prices for its DStv and GOtv bouquets with a percentage raise in the rates ahead of the start of a new football season.

The new rates according to a statement released will take effect on September, 1st 2022.

Ms Joan Semanda Kizza, the Communications Manager for Multichoice Uganda said the cost of acquiring the broadcast rights for most of the channels has increased hence impacting the cost of delivering this content to customers.

“To continue serving the same quality of entertainment, effective September 1st, 2022, Multichoice Uganda will adjust the price of our DStv and GOtv packages in line with the current market conditions,” Ms. Kizza said while addressing the media in Kampala.

“We have considered the rate of consumer inflation and current economic pressures facing Uganda when considering our price adjustments,” she added.
