The endorsement of “Mzee Tova Ku Main” in Mayuge District has been rubbished by Mr Masuumi Juma the Chairperson Team Chairman MK Project Busoga region who is also an NRM cadre.

According to him, the early endorsements of President Museveni for 2026 are barbaric acts by the greedy NRM party members at the expense of the party’s electorate.

Mr Masuumi explains that at a time of monitoring the implementation of our NRM Manifesto of 2021-2026 which has just run for only one year, it is not necessary to endorse President Museveni for 2026 at this time, but rather to wait for the right time for the campaigns to commence.

“This is not seen as love for H.E the president, instead, we see opportunists with selfish interests who are misleading others to defile the democratic principles within the party because we have seen even those endorsing him today failing to give him full support in the previous General Elections of 2021, the NRM structures did not fully Mobilize for him,” Masuumi said in a conversation with DailyExpress.

“You could find an area NRM MP getting more votes than his/her party Chairman and now they are smearing oil on him,” he added.

Mr Masuumi says the endorsement of the incumbent President can also be termed as fear of Generation B (Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s group) to take over power from Generation A (Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s group).

“We ask the NRM Secretary General Mr Richard Todwong and his team to come up with clear NRM mobilization strategies to be put on the ground other than these “masked smiles” for the President,” he concluded.
