KIKUUBE, UGANDA: A suspected Motorcycle thief have been lynched to death by an angry mob in Kyabatalya cell near Nyakibengo stream in Buhimba town council, in Kikuube District.
Sources allege the deceased to have stolen a motorcycle from Kagadi district.
According to the sources who never wanted to disclose their names said the incident occurred today morning at around 7am after a section of Boda boda cyclists from Buhimba town council were alerted by their colleagues from Kagadi town council about a stolen motorcycle that was stolen from their claiming the suspected thief to have headed to Hoima city.
The deceased whose identity is yet to be established is suspected to have stolen the motorcycle on Monday night and he was on run heading to Hoima city where he was intercepted a section of residents and Boda bodas in Buhimba town council who stoned him to death and motorcycle taken by unknown person.
At time of this report police was yet to reach to the scene and the dead body was still lying on the road side In Kyabatalya cell in Buhimba town council.
The development comes in less than a week after an angry mob in Hoima City on Wednesday morning lynched one Musana Peter, a resident of Kiryatete West Cell on allegations of beheading his 9-month-old son.
