“Dear members, we urgently seek your help in circulating this post to as many groups as possible. Last week, our beloved sister lost her life, and the person responsible is currently at large. We implore your support in bringing justice to our deceased sister,” a family statement shared on social media on Monday afternoon reads in part.

It adds; “If you have any information or spot the individual in question, please report immediately to the nearest police station or contact SSP Michael Kasigire.”

“Your cooperation is deeply appreciated, and there will be awards for those who assist in resolving this case.”

Atulinda, 37, was suffocated to death in a murder incident that occurred in the wee hours of last Thursday at her residence in Manyangwa Village, Gayaza sub-county, in Wakiso District.

According to family members and close friends, Atulinda was at the time of her untimely death running a garage in Manyangwa, where Tuhamire was employed.

Unconfirmed reports further alleged that Tuhamire had reportedly made sexual advances to Atulinda, which she rejected, whereas some counts of the story say the two (Atulinda and Tuhamire) were seeing each other in an intimate relationship.

The deceased’s sister identified as Jackline Arinaitwe in her account of the events says she received a phone call from Atulinda at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, appealing for help.

“Over the phone, I could hear my sister crying in a physical struggle,” said Arinaitwe, adding that moments later, the telephone line went off throwing them into panic

She says family members later rushed to Manyangwa, where they discovered Atulinda’s dead body with a pillow covering her face.

Unaccounted reports claim Tuhamire allegedly suffocated Atulinda with a pillow which caused her death.
