Search for prime suspect in murder of Ndiga clan head extends to Kenya

Kampala, (UG):- Police have revealed that a joint team of security forces are still on an active hunt for one Lujja Bbosa Tabula, the suspected mastermind behind the gruesome murder of the fallen Ndiga Clan head, the late Daniel Bbosa.

Bbosa, 72, who also served as the proprietor of Transa Electrical Company Limited, was fatally shot inside his car last month in Lungujja-Rubaga Division, Kampala.

According to information gathered by the Police’s Crime Intelligence Unit, Tabula is reportedly hiding in Kenya and thus a search for the fugitive has now crossed borders to have him apprehended and arraigned before the courts of law.

Tabula’s five accomplices, who include Lujja Noah, Harriet Nakiguli, Joseph Nakabale, Ezra Mayanja, and Milly Naluwenda, were Monday arraigned before Mwanga II Road Court in Mengo and charged with murder before subsequently being remanded to Luzira prison.

While giving a weekly security briefing to the media on Monday, March 11, 2024, Mr Enanga stated that efforts to locate Tabula are ongoing. Despite receiving various tips from the public, including from regions such as Kalangala, Buikwe, and Ibanda, none have proven fruitful thus far.

“We have received information suggesting that the suspect may have fled the country and could be hiding in Kenya. However, no corner of the world is too remote for the joint intelligence agencies to pursue.” Mr Enanga stated, before urging the public to continue providing information, emphasizing that the bounty remains available.

Enanga further reiterated a nationwide search for Tabula and reaffirmed that a bounty offer of Shillings 10 million for any information leading to his arrest.

“Crime Intelligence and other agencies are leveraging all available resources to apprehend the suspect, and the Shillings 10 million reward is still in effect for credible information,” he reiterated.
