ONC empowerment drive boosted with donation of 10 tons of maize seeds from SPA Kabagyenyi

Kampala, (UG):- The Office of the National Chairperson (ONC) empowerment drive has received a boost with a donation 10 tons of maize from Ms Rose Kabagyenyi, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture to empower youths and farmers all over the country.

Ms Kabagyenyi who had paid a courtesy visit to ONC Manager SPA Hadijah Namyalo handed over the maize seeds during a momentous function yesterday, Monday, March 25, at ONC offices in Kyambogo, Kampala.

In her remarks after receiving the items, Ms Namyalo thanked SPA Kabagyenyi for the generous donation and pledged to efficiently distribute the maize seeds to the intended beneficiaries; especially the Bazzukulu (young people) who are involved in agriculture.

On her part, Ms Kabagyenyi explained that she was inspired by Hajjat Namyalo’s efforts to boost household incomes especially the youth and women across the country, adding that the donation came from her office to support Hajjat’s empowerment drive.

The Office of the National Chairman’s dedication to uplifting communities and fostering unity underscores the pivotal role of grassroots empowerment in driving sustainable development.

Under the stewardship of Hajjat Namyalo, ONC has empowered youths in Bushenyi, Iganga, Jinja, Bugweri, Tororo and very many others where she often donates wealth creation and agricultural tools that can help people start up some businesses and start earning a daily income for their homesteads.

Among the tools she donates include; popcorn machines, chapati-making machines, dryers, hair-cutting machines, sawing machines, welding machines, maize seeds, sprayers for farmers, car washing machines and sometimes even food like maize floor for bazzukulu to go feed their families since poverty comes with hunger.
