Siblings hack mother after finding her with lover in father’s matrimonial bed

Bukedea, (UG):- The Territorial Police in East Kyoga Region and Bukedea CPS are on a serious manhunt for two siblings for the attempted murder of their mother whom they accused of cheating on their dad with another man.

The duo identified as Onenge Andrew and Opio Ivan, of Akaramai village, Kamom Parish, in Bukedea district are said to have attacked their mum Asikeit Melidah after she invited her manfriend, Omerikol Joseph to their father’s marital bed to sleep with him in absence of their father identified as Ogwang Isaac, who is a teacher, and always stationed at his work place.

Preliminary facts gathered indicate that the two siblings, on the 20th of March 2024, returned home at around 10 pm, and found their mother and her manfriend, already sleeping in their father’s house, which angered them.

“They picked pangas, attacked and hacked their mother and her manfriend, critically injuring them. The attack was a result of adultery by their mother. The two victims were rushed to Bukedea Health Centre IV for treatment,” Mr Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson said Monday while addressing journalists at Naguru headquarters.

Police strongly condemned the acts of violent attacks against biological parents by children, labelling the act as a serious abomination against adults, especially parents.

“Mothers deserve all the respect from their children, no matter the circumstances. In this very incident, the sons who are now on the run, needed to bring their concerns, to the attention of their father, clan leaders, local elders, including women leaders, the church, and the Police Child and Family Protection Unit, to help prevail over their mother and her manfriend. They were instead rife with rage and anger, over their mother’s adulterous conduct,” Enanga stated.

“Their act was, therefore, pre-meditated and motivated by anger and rage. They are both wanted for two counts of Attempted Murder,” he added.
