Kakumiro, Uganda: President Yoweri Museveni has praised Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja for her commitment to Uganda’s development agenda, citing her thanksgiving spirit and practical contributions to skilling and economic transformation in her home district of Kakumiro.
While attending Nabbanja’s Thanksgiving ceremony on Saturday, June 21, 2025, the President officially launched two key projects: the Kakumiro Model Training and Skilling Agricultural Innovations Farm and Hotel Classic, both initiated by the Prime Minister to promote vocational training and boost the local hospitality sector.
“I want to thank her for remembering to thank God,” said Museveni. “She reminds me of the tenth leper in the Bible who came back to thank Jesus for healing him.”

The Head of State lauded Nabbanja for understanding and living out the values of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), especially in the areas of collective decision-making, hard work, and transformational leadership.
“I have seen Nabbanja’s commitment and hard work for a long time,” Museveni said. “We have been teaching her and other young leaders about the mission of the NRM and our work methods. Many people struggle because they lack knowledge in these areas.”

The President emphasized that the NRM’s long-standing mission of socio-economic empowerment can only succeed when leaders translate ideology into action, especially through innovation and job creation at the grassroots.
Nabbanja’s new agricultural innovations farm is set to benefit hundreds of youth and women by offering hands-on skilling in agribusiness, value addition, and innovation, while Hotel Classic is expected to create hospitality jobs and support tourism and business travel in the region.
