Jinja, Uganda: The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Coordinator for Jinja City, Mr. Kabuye Rogers, has praised Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Head of the ONC, for reawakening the mobilization spirit within the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Speaking during the Webukerede morning program (5:00–6:00 a.m.) on NBS Radio Jinja on Wednesday, Mr. Kabuye reflected on the contrast between the 2021 campaigns and the ongoing mobilization efforts spearheaded by Namyalo and her team.
“In 2021, many mobilisers were afraid to publicly campaign for President Museveni. They feared being criticized or ridiculed. But when Hajjat Namyalo assumed office, she launched empowerment programs nationwide, boldly preaching the gospel of Jajja. Initiatives like ‘Jajja Tova Ku Main’ and ‘Jajja Omalako’ restored confidence among mobilisers and made it fashionable again to wear the yellow proudly — even in urban areas like Kampala,” Kabuye said.
He lauded Hajjat Namyalo’s practical and grassroots-focused mobilization strategy, noting that despite some detractors within the NRM Secretariat, her results have been evident nationwide.
“Despite attempts by some individuals to downplay her impact before the President, Hajjat Namyalo’s work speaks for itself. She has transformed the party’s visibility and energy at the grassroots,” he added.
Kabuye further pledged that ONC coordinators would not only continue mobilizing under Namyalo’s leadership but also safeguard the ruling party’s votes in 2026.
“This time, we shall also protect the vote to ensure no repeat of the challenges faced in 2021, where the opposition allegedly manipulated over a million votes,” he emphasized.
His remarks come at a time when the ONC empowerment drives, led by Hajjat Namyalo, are intensifying across the country — empowering youth and women groups, and rekindling enthusiasm among NRM supporters ahead of the 2026 elections.
