The “Emeeri” Will Do Nothing To Us: Nabakooba Fumes Youths

By Our Reporter

Judith Nabakooba who is the current Minister for ICT and National Guidance has urged the youth in Uganda to focus on working hard for their better lives instead of wasting time discussing politics on social media platforms

During her weekly press briefings, Nabakooba made these comments at the Ministry of ICT head offices on Sunday.

“Whereas there is nothing wrong with discussing politics, this should not take a lot of our time. I call upon the general public especially youth that this is the time to focus on work and income generation,” Nabakooba said.

She said that the government is confounded to see that youth in the country and elected leaders are spending a lot of time amplifying social media political lies and rumors instead of sharing work-related information.

The Minister for ICT and National Guidance added that there is a lot of work to be done. For individuals that have a purpose and vision of living a quality life, they cannot spend a lot of time promoting fake news like the American warship in Mombasa, and Bobi Wine’s car, which they say takes only milk instead of petrol.

Judith Nabakooba said that the government has now made it possible for all Ugandans to get involved in some income-generating activity, and everyone should get involved in those activities instead of wasting time shouting on social media.
