Uganda Cranes drop to 84th in Latest FIFA Rankings after flopped AFCON Qualification

However, Uganda Cranes sit 16th on the Continental (CAF) Rankings with the top five teams being; Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, and Morocco.

Uganda’s National football team (The Cranes) have dropped to 84th position in the latest FIFA Men’s ranking released on Wednesday.

The latest rankings see the Cranes drop by one slot following a dismal performance that saw Uganda miss out on the third consecutive Qualification for the Total Africa Cup of Nations due in Cameroon 2022.

With only 2 points to qualify in the last two games of the qualifiers, the Cranes drew goalless with Burkina Faso at home before falling out to Malawi 1-0 to miss the AFCON opportunity.

However, Uganda Cranes sit 16th on the Continental (CAF) Rankings with the top five teams being; Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, and Morocco.

Mali, Kenya, and Rwanda who are Uganda’s opponents in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers are positioned 57th, 102th, and 129th respectively in the FIFA Men’s rankings.
