Solomon Serwanja to Quit NBS TV After 6 years, hints at next move

Celebrated multi-award-winning investigative journalist and senior news anchor Solomon Serwanjja has quit NBS Television after 6 years since joining the Naguru based station from NTV Uganda

The 2019 BBC Komlar Dumor award confirmed the news of his exit on Tuesday morning saying July 31, will be his last day at NBS TV, something which left many of his fans in meltdown.

“On 31st July, I will be leaving @nbstv. It has been such an honour to serve for the last 6 years. Thank you @KKariisa and the entire @nextmediaug family for the support,” a tweet from Serwanjja’s official account reads.

Sserwanja, the founder and Executive Director at the African Institute of Investigative Journalism (AfricanIIJ) says he will now focus on his new role at the organization to bolster its operations and see more journalists in the mainstream media sharpened with investigative skills.

“I will now focus on my new role as the Executive Director @AfricanIIJ, the home of investigative journalism”

Serwanjja joined NBS Television in 2015, crossing over from NTV Uganda then where he was a senior reporter, news anchor, and investigative journalist.
