UPDF, DR Congo Forces Kill 4 ADF Rebels, Recover Guns, Looted Goats

This followed an AFD rebel attack on the night of 13 February at Kayenjye village between Nobili border and Kamango town which left a bodaboda rider killed, two houses burned down, and looted goats and chickens.

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and Congolese army on Monday afternoon killed four rebels attached to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) based in the Bundihangaro camp, north of Nobili, eastern DR Congo.

This followed an AFD rebel attack on the night of 13 February at Kayenjye village between Nobili border and Kamango town which left a bodaboda rider killed, two houses burned down, and looted goats and chickens.

They crossed the road and moved towards north direction of Kamango town into the village called Bundihangaro 6kms north of Nobili border and 5kms east of Kamango town where they abducted 6 civilians from their gardens on the morning of 14 February 22.

The UPDF/ FARDC joint forces followed the enemy at around 04:30 pm on Monday, they had an encounter where ADF terrorists had made a hasty defence with bodies of six Congolese nationals killed in their custody.

However, defence sources told this website that during the crossfire exchange, the joint forces managed to put out of action 04 ADF terrorists and recovered 02 SMGs, one RPG bomb, and walk talkie radio. The enemy terrorists were found packing slaughtered hens in packs Sacks.

The joint forces of UPDF and FARDC also managed to rescue 07 goats left behind by the fleeing terrorists.

The joint forces say they are determined to eliminate ADF remnants wherever they will go so that peace prevails in DRC and Uganda.

Last month, the joint forces opened up the second axis against the ADF rebels.
