Kampala, (UG): Mrs Sarah Ali, the wife of retired Gen Moses Ali, the second deputy prime minister and deputy leader of government business in parliament, is dead.
According to a statement released by prime minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja on behalf of the Office of the Prime Minister, Sarah Ali died from Medipal Hospital in Kampala at around 4 pm.
“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of Mrs Sarah Ali, wife to Rt. Hon Gen (retired) Moses Ali, the second deputy prime minister and deputy leader of government business in parliament,” the prime minister said in a Monday statement.
According to the funeral programme released by PM Nabbanja, there will be a vigil for the deceased on Monday night at Naalya estate, along Paul Kasule road.
On Tuesday, the body of the deceased will be transported to Adjumani for burial and will be laid to rest later in the afternoon.
Sarah Ali becomes Moses Ali’s other wife to rest after having lost another wife Aisha Ali who died in October 2011 at the age of 51 years.
Gen Moses Ali has also recently been frail with movements in and out of the hospital receiving treatment and has previously been reported dead which the family refuted as untrue reports.
