SGA guard shoots Kampala man dead over extramarital affairs

Kampala, (UG):- The Police at Kira Road Division are investigating circumstances under which a private guard attached to SGA Security company shot and killed a man suspected of having an affair with a married woman in a gruesome murder incident reported on Wednesday evening.

The fatal shooting incident according to KMP Deputy Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, occurred on the evening of April 10th, 2024, in Kyebando Kisalosalo Zone, Kawempe Division, Kampala District.

Mr Owoyesigyire identified the deceased as Adaca Sabina, also known as Alele Francis, a 36-year-old driver with Khan Logistics and a resident of the same area where the incident occurred.

Preliminary investigation indicates that on the fateful day at approximately 19:30 hours, the deceased was allegedly intercepted by an individual identified as Achol, a security guard with SGA Security Company and a resident of the same area.

“Mr. Adaca Sabina was shot around the chest/heart while on the phone, attempting to exit a corridor. The assailant fled the scene with the weapon, leaving Mr Adaca Sabina in a pool of blood,” Mr Owoyesigyire stated.

Allegations had initially marred on social media alleging that the victim was involved in extramarital affairs, which may have contributed to this unfortunate incident but Owoyesigyire said “it is imperative to allow the ongoing investigation by the authorities to uncover all relevant facts and motives surrounding this heinous crime.”
