Apiyo explained that they also wanted to use the opportunity to share a moment with the children and the administration of the children’s home, and understand what happens at the children’s as a gesture of care-noting that they are also mothers.

“We decided to reach out to St. Jude Children’s Home because we wanted to share moments with the children and the mothers in the children’s home, understanding we also are mothers in our own homes,” remarked Apiyo.

She revealed the items delivered items as; 50 kilograms of sugar, two boxes of bar of soap, two dozen of sanitary towels, one box of milk, 12 jerrycans of liquid soap and clothes for use and consumption for the children.

Acan added that such activity is what they normally do to their immediate community routinely in a period of three months.

According to the Institution’s administration, St. Jude Children’s home apparently has a total of 68 children being kept at the home, including 22 children who are disabled-with the eldest being 18 years old.
