Kampala, Uganda: The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman, SPA Hadijah Namyalo, on Tuesday spearheaded a massive mobilisation drive that drew thousands of supporters to Kololo Grounds for President Yoweri Museveni’s final campaign rally ahead of the January 15 polls.

Popularly known as Chief Muzukkulu, Namyalo arrived at Kololo flanked by hundreds of boda boda riders from different parts of Kampala, alongside large groups of ghetto youth and students drawn from various institutions.

Hajjat’s arrival triggered thunderous chants of “Namyalo, Namyalo” from NRM supporters who had already filled the venue, creating an electric atmosphere that underscored her growing grassroots influence.

One of the mobilisation teams set off from the Office of the National Chairman in Kyambogo before linking up with other groups along major city roads, converging at Kololo in a colourful show of unity and enthusiasm for the National Resistance Movement flag bearer.

Since assuming office at ONC, Namyalo has become a central figure in grassroots engagement, particularly among young people. Her mobilisation strategies have seen large numbers of youths across the country rally behind the NRM, significantly expanding the party’s support base ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Namyalo currently serves as the overall coordinator of President Museveni’s vote protection efforts and has repeatedly stressed the importance of organisation, vigilance and peaceful participation throughout the electoral process.

She also played a key role in rolling out the popular “Jajja Tova Ku Main” campaign, a nationwide movement in which supporters—popularly known as bazzukulu—urged Museveni to return to the ballot and continue steering Uganda’s development agenda.

The Kololo rally capped off months and weeks of intensive mobilisation, with supporters turning up in large numbers to reaffirm their confidence in Museveni’s leadership as the campaign entered its final phase.

Uganda goes to polls this Thursday January 15, an election President Museveni is widely expected to win by a land side to extend his reign for yet another term as Head of State.
