London, England: Arsenal have officially been crowned 2025/26 English Premier League champions, ending a painful 22-year wait for the league title after Manchester City were held to a draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
The 1-1 result at Vitality Stadium confirmed Arsenal as champions with one match still left to play, sparking emotional celebrations across North London and among millions of supporters worldwide.
The Cherries secured a crucial victory over Pep Guardiola’s side thanks to a decisive goal from Junior Kroupi in the 39th minute, but Erling Haaland drew level deep in added time of the second half, a result that left City four points behind the Gunners with only the final league fixture remaining.
Arsenal, managed by Mikel Arteta, now sit on 82 points and cannot be caught at the top of the table even if they lose against Crystal Palace on Sunday, with City staying second at 78 points, which would only elevate them to 81 points with a final-day victory.

The triumph marks Arsenal’s first Premier League title since the historic 2003/04 “Invincibles” campaign under legendary French manager Arsène Wenger, when the club famously went unbeaten throughout the season.
For Arteta, the title represents the reward for years of rebuilding and persistence after repeatedly falling short in previous campaigns.
The Spanish tactician endured back-to-back heartbreaks, finishing second behind Manchester City before losing last season’s title race to Liverpool boss Arne Slot.
But this season, Arsenal finally completed the job through consistency, resilience and one of the league’s strongest defensive records.
The North Londoners have impressed throughout the campaign with standout performances from captain Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba and Kai Havertz, among others.
Arteta, once Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, now becomes only the second Spanish manager to win the Premier League title after his former mentor.
Scenes of jubilation immediately erupted outside the Emirates Stadium, across London and on social media as Arsenal supporters celebrated a long-awaited return to the summit of English football.
The title victory also re-establishes Arsenal among Europe’s elite clubs after years spent rebuilding following the departures of several legendary figures from the Wenger era.
Arsenal will officially lift the Premier League trophy at Selhurst Park on Sunday in their final game of the 2025/26 season.
