MOGADISHU, ETHIOPIA (CECAFA U23 Championships)
The Uganda U-23 football team head coach Morley Byekwaso has named the starting XI to face Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the regional CECAFA U23 Challenge Cup opener in Ethiopia today.
The game is slated to take place today Sunday, July 18, at 1:00 PM EAT at the Bahir Dar International Stadium in Mogadishu, Ethiopia.
The 2021 CECAFA tournament will feature nine countries including Eritrea, Djibouti, Burundi, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, DRC, and hosts Ethiopia. It will run from July 18 to 31 in the town of Bahir Dar.
Uganda was pitted in Group A with DRC and Tanzania, Group B has hosts Ethiopia, Burundi and Eritrea while Group C has Djibouti, South Sudan and Kenya.
