Namisindwa: 7-year-old boy murdered in cold blood in suspected sacrifice

Namisindwa, (UG): Shock and grief engulfed residents of Mango Cell, Lwakhakha Town Council in Namisindwa District after they came across a 7-year-old boy murdered by cutting over the weekend.

SP Taitika Rogers, the Elgon regional police spokesperson, identified the deceased identified as Sisino Samuel, a son of one Namanuna Ali, a resident of the same area.

The incident is believed to have occurred on Sunday, October 22, at around 8 pm.

According to SP Taitika, the shocking incident was reported to Lwakhakha Police Station by one Mujanjami Wamukota who was shocked after landing on the lifeless body of the juvenile.

“…The body was lying in a fresh pool of blood with deep cuts at the neck and face,” SP Taitika said.

Based on preliminary findings, it is alleged that on the fateful Sunday, the victim’s father had gone to the nearby trading centre and the child decided to follow him before being ambushed by killers who inflicted deep wounds on his neck and face.

“..the child left home following the father who had left home for the nearby trading centre to buy some items. It’s believed that the boy found the evil people along the way who stabbed him dead. The motive of the killers has not been established we’re working tirelessly to apprehend the perpetrators on charges of among others killing the young boy,” SP Taitika added.

The Regional police spokesperson urged parents to ensure maximum care and security to their children and avoid leaving them at home alone but instead, ensure that they have an adult attending to them.

“We call upon parents to ensure security for their children and avoid leaving them at home with anyone attending to them. It’s alleged that the mother went to work leaving the child with his father,” Taitika emphasized.
