Rubaga, Kampala: President Yoweri Museveni’s daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, was overcome with emotion on Monday night when renowned Israeli-Canadian evangelist Benny Hinn prayed for her and declared a prophecy of a significant leadership role awaiting her in Uganda’s future.
During his fourth and final day of preaching at Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral, Pastor Hinn invited Rwabwogo onto the stage, laid hands on her, and spoke of a “special divine destiny” that would extend beyond her pastoral ministry.
“I see promotion, and I see government. I do not know what position—the Lord has not shown me that—but there is something divine in this woman’s destiny,” Hinn declared to the packed congregation.
Overwhelmed by the moment, the first daughter fell to the ground and wept uncontrollably as worshippers joined in prayer.
“You have a destiny in this country. I know you are a pastor, but there is a bigger call here,” Hinn continued. “It is God who promotes. Promotion comes from the Lord. The people of your church ought to pray with intensity so that the Lord will fulfil your destiny, which is not just in church; there is a bigger call.”

Rwabwogo, the third-born of President Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, has dedicated much of her life to ministry through her Covenant Nations Church. In her 2023 book, Jesus Africa, she wrote about first hearing God’s voice at the age of 11, a moment she said shaped her mission to preach the gospel.
But Pastor Hinn told the congregation that her journey was entering a new season: “The precious thing is that God has given you an amazing father and mother who have done a magnificent job in bringing stability to this land,” he said.
Hinn also prophesied a wave of prosperity for Uganda, telling worshippers that the country would soon experience an economic transformation.
“In the spirit, I know that prosperity is going to come to Uganda en masse. It is going to be sudden like a flood of blessings, which will affect everybody in the country in the form of jobs and new companies,” he said.
