London, UK: Ugandan Opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has rallied hundreds of supporters in the United Kingdom, urging the diaspora to remain steadfast in the fight for political change in their motherland.
Bobi Wine, who was performing over the weekend at a musical performance at 194 Piccadilly, Central London, called on Ugandans abroad to persevere despite intimidation, arrests, and personal sacrifices.
“We refuse to give up, and we refuse to cry all the time. We will continue to celebrate along the way. We shall smile during the struggle, we shall dance, people will celebrate and marry during the struggle. We shall not give up,” he said.

During the event, he performed his freestyle song “Nalumansi”, blending artistic expression with political messaging, a signature style that keeps the diaspora engaged with Uganda’s political climate.
Bobi Wine also paid tribute to his jailed associates, Eddie Mutwe and Archilleo Kivumbi, recalling his own dramatic arrest in December 2020 and the challenges faced by his supporters who remain imprisoned on allegedly trumped-up robbery charges.
“We refuse to give up, and we refuse to cry all the time. We will continue to celebrate along the way. We shall smile during the struggle, we shall dance, people will celebrate and marry during the struggle. We shall not give up.”
“The liberation struggle neither began with me nor will it end with me. There have been legends before us, and there will be legends after us,” he emphasized, reiterating the call for unity and hope until Uganda is fully liberated.
