Kampala, Uganda: The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has assembled and flagged off more than 1,000 boda boda riders to lead a massive mobilisation and procession ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
The riders, drawn from across the Kampala Metropolitan area, were unveiled during a colourful mobilisation event attended by hundreds of NRM supporters, youth leaders and boda boda coordinators.
Carrying NRM flags, yellow banners and posters bearing Museveni’s image, the riders later staged a spirited procession through different parts of Kampala to rally residents ahead of the national ceremony.
The mobilisation comes as final preparations intensify for the highly anticipated swearing-in event expected to attract thousands of Ugandans, dignitaries and regional leaders at Kololo.

Speaking during the flag-off, Hajjat Namyalo described the inauguration as a national celebration open to all Ugandans regardless of political affiliation, religion or tribe.
“This event is for every Ugandan. We invite all citizens to come and witness this important national function as President Museveni begins another term of leadership,” she said.
Namyalo also applauded the boda boda fraternity for what she described as consistent support towards government programmes and grassroots mobilisation efforts. She said the riders remain an important pillar in community engagement and socio-economic transformation due to their direct interaction with ordinary citizens.

The mobilisation convoy moved through several divisions of Kampala as supporters chanted pro-NRM slogans and called upon residents to attend the Kololo ceremony peacefully.
Meanwhile, security deployment has been heightened around Kololo Ceremonial Grounds and major city routes as authorities finalise preparations for the swearing-in function.
