Kampala, Uganda:– The fixtures for the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup have been unveiled with a heavyweight clash between Vipers SC and SC Villa headlining the draw while Kitara FC, the defending champions, face off against BUL FC in another UPL clash.
The eagerly anticipated draw produced four high-stakes encounters, all set to be played between April 18th and 22nd, as clubs eye a coveted spot in the semifinals and a step closer to continental football.
The tie between Vipers SC and SC Villa, a renewed rivalry, promises fireworks, pitting two of Uganda’s most successful clubs in a battle for supremacy. Vipers made it with ease into the quarters with a dominant 3-0 win over Blacks Power, while Villa edged Lugazi FC 1-0 in a hard-fought clash.
Elsewere, defending champions Kitara FC will have home advantage against BUL FC in Hoima. Kitara saw off Gaddafi FC in the Round of 16, while BUL arrive with momentum after putting seven past Total FC in the Round of 16 clash
In the other draw, Police FC, who upset Maroons FC in their last outing, will meet Kataka FC, a team brimming with belief after eliminating URA FC via penalties in the last 16, while another western Ugandan side, Kaaro Karungi FC, welcomes KCCA FC to Ntungamo.
Kaaro Karungi cruised past UPDF FC 3-0, while the Kasasiro Boys brushed aside Rwenzori Lions 4-0 to seal their place.

- Police FC vs Kataka FC – Kavumba Recreation Grounds
- Vipers SC vs SC Villa – St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
- Kitara FC vs BUL FC – Butema Stadium, Hoima
- Kaaro Karungi FC vs KCCA FC – Kyamate Grounds, Ntungamo
Speaking at the draw held Monday, April 7, at Kansai Plascon Headquarters in Kampala, FUFA Competitions Director Hajjati Aisha Nalule confirmed the fixtures and dates, while Kansai Plascon Uganda MD Santosh Gumte reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing local sport:
“We are here to inspire and develop local sports with football, rugby, badminton and others,” Gumte said.
The winner of the 2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup will represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup, making this year’s edition even more competitive and closely followed.
