“Why should you arrest someone and spend days claiming that you’re still investigating, so you arrested him on which basis? But instead, follow that person in everything since you have that capacity. It’s not good to rush with arrests and at the end you release them yet they can’t sue you since you’re the one’s ruling,” said Al-hajji Igambi Yusuf Kakaire.

He urged all those who were sworn in to serve diligently without any grudge against one another but always sit on round tables to iron out some leakages amongst themselves. He also advised them to have peaceful transitions of power in case their time of serving muslims elapses.

“Why should we hate one another yet we can dialogue and solve issues affecting us? We have come at a time when some leaders are not willing to hand over power but I pray that Allah guides us when the time of handing overcomes,” Al-hajji Igambi added.

Igambi says that Muslims can donate to others but they have deliberately continued to depend on support from Arab donors yet they too can support poor Muslims. He attributed this to Muslims who have neglected work hoping for support all the time.

He was also concerned with the way people are faking documents purportedly coming from high authorities after a document circulated on social media claiming that president Museveni had directed CMI to arrest some people on criminal charges of terrorism before the state house trashed it as fake and intended to cause fear in the public.

However, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Iganga district Wandera Sadala assured the Muslim community of security and urged the leaders to use their positions to guide Muslims on issues related to government. Wandera urged them to avoid giving out their children to people who claim to train them in religious discipline but give them out after getting thorough information about such people or organizations.

“Someone can come and says he wants to teach your child religious discipline yet there is another agenda possibly related to terrorism. When we’re blaming government, we should also weigh these incidents where some people are being proven guilty in criminal activities,” says RDC Wandera before opening up that their intelligence says ADF in Busoga are basing in Mayuge, Bugiri and Iganga district.
